On 12 December 2018, I filed my Statement by Applicant with QCAT in support of my application for an order to cancel my Residence Contract and Service Agreement on the grounds that the scheme operators of the Laurel Springs Retirement village had provided false information in this document and misleading information in the PID.

26 November 2018 - Interviewed by Regulatory Services Unit

On 26 November 2018, I was interviewed in Brisbane by two officers from the Regulatory Services Unit in relation to my complaint about offences under the Retirement Villages Act committed by the scheme operators of the Laurel Springs Retirement village.

19 November 2018 - Application to QCAT

On 19 November 2018, I filed an application with QCAT seeking an order to cancel my Residence Contract and Service Agreement on the grounds that the scheme operators of the Laurel Springs Retirement village had provided false information in this document and misleading information in the PID.

02 November 2018 - Complaint to Regulatory Services Unit

On 02 November 2018, I made a complaint to the Regulatory Services Unit of the Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works about offences under the Retirement Villages Act committed by the scheme operators of the Laurel Springs Retirement village.

Second week October 2018 - Discovered false information in Residence Contract and Service Agreement and misleading information in PID

In the second week of October 2018, following the AGM of 10 October, I also discovered that the scheme operators of the Laurel Springs Retirement village had provided false information in the Residence Contract and Service Agreement, and misleading information in the PID.

Second week October 2018 - Discovered misuse of Laurel Springs Maintenance Reserve Fund and excessive charges for General Services

In the second week of October 2018, following the AGM of 10 October, I discovered that the scheme operators of the Laurel Springs Retirement Village had also been misusing the Maintenance Reserve Fund and charging excessive fees for General Services.

10 October 2018 - Asked questions about misuse of Laurel Springs Capital Replacement Fund at the AGM

At the AGM of 10 October I asked the scheme operators of the Laurel Springs Retirement Village to explain why money from the Capital Replacement Fund had been used to pay for unit refurbishment when this is an offence under the Retirement Villages Act.

In the first week of October 2018, before the AGM of 10 October, I discovered that the scheme operators of the Laurel Springs Retirement Village had been misusing the Capital Replacement Fund.
